What is Eminent Domain Abuse

Until the late 50’s Eminent Domain was used for its intended purpose, to give government the powers needed to get continuous right of way for building roads, lying gas and sewer pipes and building public buildings, those things that are related to essential services that we all need. The key word there, being essential. In the 50’s clever people not in government figured they could use their influence over public officials to stretch the powers of Eminent Domain so that they could use it to obtain land where they were getting resistance from the current land owners. The side benefit to the abusers was that the value of the land they wanted dropped (fair market value) because who wants to buy land that is under the cloud of Eminent Domain. It started out only here or there where government took land from its rightful owners to give to another private owner, corporation or organization. We are now at a point where any wealthy person, corporation or organization who has political influence can now, just out of due course, take your land and the abusers say ‘Hey it’s Legal’. And you know what, they are right!

So as you can see we are battling numerous government departments and agencies and their affiliates. They are well funded and staffed full time and able to influence many people. They are paying for this fight with your money looking to spend tens of millions more. For them to win all they need is for you to do nothing, for us to win we NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!
